There’s just something about unique arrangements of holiday music that catches our breath, grounds us, and gifts us with introspection… where we’re reminded about what is good, what is important, and what matters the most. You know the songs I’m talking about; you can’t help but select “repeat“ over and over…
I remember, when I was a child, my mom telling me that her favorite Christmas song was O Holy Night, so I guess that’s why I adopted it as my favorite too over the years. Every time I hear it as a grownup this memory comes back to me.
My other favorite is Little Drummer Boy. It’s the lyrics, and well, the beat! I love a good cadence! But really, it’s the humbleness of the lyrics that tugs at my heartstrings.
Let me know what your favorite holiday song is, and why! Leave a comment!
Let me wrap up few of my favorite holiday covers as my gift to you! Take a moment to pause and enjoy…
Angels We Have Heard On High
Silent Night
Away In A Manger
Okay, this Little Drummer Boy by Pentatonix will give you goosebumps… and you’ll hit “repeat!”
Pretty cool
How sweet to hear your choices and memories. I have the Pandora Amy Grant Holiday setlist playing, but my favorites change each day. Today I heard one I had never heard played before: it was Vince Gill singing “Let There Be Peace on Earth (and let it begin with me…) So beautiful!
Thanks for all the holiday tips! 🙂
